This is a Port of only one harvest, produced in a year of good quality, red and full bodied, of good aroma and palate.
The wine is made 70% from grapes of Quinta do Noval, and 30% from "A" quality grapes.
Aged 41/2 years in old wooden vats. The grapes were trodden by foot where a disciplined and intense treading is fundamental for a good final result.
Deep rich brick red colour, ripe vigorous and fruity nose. A vigorous mouthful of fresh red fruits, with a solid tannic structure and a long harmonious finish. Ideally to be served as an accompaniment to cheese, dessert, or on its own at the end of a meal.
This wine is unfiltered and as a result, it may throw a light deposit and need decanting.
