Glen Deveron is the name given to official bottlnigs of sibngle malt from Macduff. A comparatively new distillery, Macduff was founded in 1962 by a consortium of local businessmen. The distillery was taken over by William Lawson's, who produced the famous blend of the same name, in 1972, by which time the number of stills had been increased from two to four. Lawson's became part of Martini-Rossi in the early 1980s, the latter itself being taken over by Bacardi in 1992, shortly after another still had been added to make a total of five. The distillery is now run under Bacardi's subsidiary Dewar's.
