Caoran pronunced "ku-ran" is derived from the Gaelic for peat ember. This is 12 year old Glenfiddich finished in casks which previously held Islay whisky. A silver medal winner in the Scottish Field Merchants Challenge!
Whisky Magazine Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromatic. Damp cellars. Earthy and rooty. Dundee cake. A touch of orange peel and pot pourri. A distant smoky note.
Palate: Sweet but vivid. Refreshing. Barley sugar.
Finish: Lingering, warm. Leafy, becomes bitter with water added.
Overall: A more sprightly Glenfiddich than the standard 12. Thirst-quenching.
