Deep, opaque red with violet tinges
to the edges. Firm, ripe red fruit
bouquet, particularly blueberries,
with a hint of spiciness. The
sensation on the palate is of a
serious, compact red wine with
great charm, thanks to its
supporting acidity. On the other
hand, tannins give it length and
there is a well balanced fruitiness
with hints of fruits of the forest,
prunes and cinnamon. Very long on
the aftertaste.
A complex and structured wine, an
ideal companion for grilled or
roasted red meats, game, strongly
flavoured cheeses, or drunk just on
its own
after a meal.
