This is a subtle Malvasia, with vibrant fruit, well-integrated oak and delicate dried-fruit flavours. Lovely acidity, and a long, generous finish.
It excels with a dessert course, particularly caramel or toffee based dishes, such as treacle tart, sticky toffee pudding or creme brulee. It also brings an extra dimension to the best blue cheeses, and is wonderful with pate de foie gras.
