Maturation for the wine took place in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. Tasting Notes Deep red in colour with a bright purple rim. A smooth, soft and spicy red wine with aromas of dark ripe fruit and subtle vanilla oak. The palate is full of rich shiraz flavours and is supported by firm tannins which provide good length and complexity. ![]() Chakana Ayni Sparkling Pinot Noir Rose Brut Nature, Mendoza, Argentina rrp £24.99 Special Clearance Offer Only £9.99 Tasting Notes In mid-February, we harvest Pinot Noir grapes by hand from Finca Ayni in Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco, Mendoza Agrelo. The base wine starts fermentation spontaneously thanks to its native yeasts. Then, without completing fermentation, we bottle the base wine so that foam forms, and it later completes fermentation and aging in the bottle, together with its yeast, for 18 months. Our Blanc de Noir wine, made with traditional champenoise methods, is also vegan. It shows off its delicate pale pink colour and a fine rosary of bubbles in the glass. In your nose you can notice fruity, floral and bakery aromas. You can feel its fresh acidity, creamy effervescence and medium-high complexity in your mouth. This is why sparkling Ayni is an ideal companion for appetizers, light meals, rich after-dinner chats and final toasts. |
