![]() NEW - Altesino, Rosso IGT Toscana, Italy 75cl, 2024, 13 % vol rrp £20.49 Special Offer Only £18.99 The Altesino estate sits in the heart of southern Tuscany, approximately forty kilometres south of the City of Siena. Today, the borders of the Montalcino wine producing region mirror those of the historical Municipality of the same name. Over the years, the region has remained largely unscathed by the influences of modern development, allowing it to retain its unique culture and beauty. These distinctive characteristics were recognised in 2004 when Montalcino was declared it a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Montalcino and its wines are an inseparable. The old traditions and culture that shaped the region have had a strong influence on the development of “Azienda Agricola Altesino” (winery and farm) for which the area is famous. Tasting Note Extremely fresh aromas, with hints of violets and wild berries, whereas the palate is dry, sapid and clean, with persuasive drinkability. |

![]() NEW - Axel Pauly, `Generations` Mosel Riesling, Feinherb, Germany, 75cl, 2025 10% vol rrp £19.99 Special Offer Only £16.99 Axel Pauly is a dynamic young star of German wine. After many years honing his craft across Germany, as well as in California and New Zealand, Axel took over the Pauly family estate in the Mosel from his father. Most of this 10-hectare estate is situated in the village of Lieser, at the heart of the Mosel Valley, except for a small parcel in neighbouring Bernkastel. Fittingly, the label features the Mosel hills, which, when turned on their side, reveal the ‘Tres Naris’ (or ‘three noses’) of Axel, his father and his grandfather. Tasting Note This wine is a pale yellow in colour with youthful reflections. The nose displays aromas of ripe pear, citrus, and yellow stone fruit. There are ripe fruit flavours on the palate, with a subtle flinty minerality and balanced sweetness and acidity. |

Complex and elegant, the nose opens with classic characters of blackcurrant bud and freshly cut thyme. Underlying flint and saline nuances from the grapes grown in the Blind River sub-region combine well with the more tropical notes of passion fruit and melon from the Wairau Valley vineyards. |
![]() Famille Perrin, Luberon Rosé Southern Rhône, France 75cl 13% vol rrp £14.99 Special Offer Only £12.49 For five generations, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel have produced quality wines in the Southern Rhône. They have always taken a vineyard-led approach, championing classic and lesser-known appellations while utilising organic practices to express a distinct sense of place in their wines. This has earned them a reputation as one of the region’s most respected producers. For the Luberon Rosé, the Perrin family work closely with their growers to achieve optimal freshness. The fruit is sourced from the Parc Régional de Luberon, situated in the south-east of the Rhône Valley. Here, a combination of cooler climate, an elevation of 300 metres and limestone marl soil gives the wines a lively acidity. The Luberon Rosé blends Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Vermentino, offering a subtle floral and red-fruit character. Tasting Note The Luberon Rosé blends Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Vermentino. This wine is a delicate pale pink in colour. It has a fresh, Provençal nose with aromas of wild strawberry and white nectarine. The palate is juicy and vibrant with notes of raspberry and pink grapefruit, leading to a refreshing and moreish finish. |
![]() Casa Ferreirinha, `Vinha Grande` Douro Tinto, Portugal 2023 75cl 13.0% vol rrp £18.99 Special Offer Only £15.99 Vineyards The grapes for this wine were sourced from vineyards in the Cima Corgo (including Quinta do Seixo) and vineyards in the Douro Superior (including Quinta da Leda). The grapes from the hotter Douro Superior bring structure and body to the blend, while the grapes from the Cima Corgo contribute elegance and acidity. Soils in the Douro are composed predominantly of schist, a slate-like rock which fractures vertically, allowing the vine roots to dig deep to access water and nutrients to sustain them through the hot Douro summers. Tasting Note Ruby in colour, this wine opens with an intense nose of raspberry, strawberry, pepper and subtle hints of violet and tobacco. The palate delivers a refreshing acidity with further notes of fresh red fruit that are continued throughout the long finish. |
![]() NEW - Vigneti del Salento, `Zolla` Malvasia Nera, Puglia, Italy 75cl, 14.5% vol rrp £17.99 Special Offer Only £15.99 Vineyards The vineyards for this wine lie a short distance east of Taranto in the Salento Peninsula on red clay soils which are rich in iron, minerals and nutrients. The sea breezes from the nearby Ionian Sea assist in developing delicate flavours in the grapes. Tasting Notes With hints of cherries and enriched with pleasant notes of clove, this wine offers a complex and inviting bouquet. With its intense ruby red colour this full-bodied wine is pleasantly soft, striking with a remarkable freshness on the nose, followed by great complexity on the palate. |
![]() Kanakaris, Agiorgitiko, Select Vines, Peloponnese, Greece 75cl 75cl, 13% vol rrp £18.99 Special Offer Only £16.49 Vineyards The Agiorgitiko hails from carefully selected Nemea vineyards in the foothills of Mount Koutsi. Here, the soil is comprised of calcareous clay and sand, lending itself to deeply flavoured fruit. This is one of the few Kanakaris wines aged in oak, with third or second-fill barrels used to help soften Agiorgitiko’s natural tannins over six months, before bottling. Tasting Notes The wine displays a deep red colour with dark ruby hues. The nose is expressive with blackberry, raspberry, and clove notes, followed by subtle tobacco and wild herb aromas. On the palate, rich flavours of dark fruits and chocolate are supported by velvety tannins, delivering a smooth, well-balanced finish. |
