With vibrant colours, delicious aromas and tray after tray of exotic products, the Delicatessen is a centre-piece of the store, delighting the senses and displaying ingredients to re-create dishes discovered on holidays in Europe and further afield.
Campbell’s policy of searching out small and innovative suppliers has resulted in a wide selection of terrines, pates, cooked meats and pies, Spanish and Italian salamis and much, much more.
Campbell’s supports artisans and innovative small food manufacturers by giving them a recurring feature at the store. For example, ales from micro breweries and gin made in small batches by small firms compete alongside the products of the big brewers and distillers.
We sell a range of sourdough and tinned loaves which are delivered by Two Dales Bakery, a family run, award-winning artisan bakery based in Reeth, Swaledale. Current delivery days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
We also stock speciality products from local and mainland European suppliers which are a fascinating feature of our hugely impressive cheese counter.
An eclectic selection of preserves, relishes and pickles - including some Campbell’s own labels – catches the eye on the delicatessen counter.
Together with foodstuffs ranging from cakes and biscuits to ready-made meals, soups and sweets, Campbell’s shelves are rich with products like these offering tastes that can be different but delicious.
We stock a large selection of fresh olives to meet all tastes from black, green and Bosiacolia olives, stuffed and pitted to flavoured olives; all of which can be purchased in self selection quantities to meet your needs. We also have a large choice of olives in jars that can be kept to satisfy snacking or adding to other foods and meals.
They sit alongside artichoke hearts, stuffed and unstuffed peppers, sun-blushed tomatoes as well as spices, tapas, olive oils and Mediterranean sea food. The range of products is exciting and extensive – and the delicatessen staff are always available to suggest recipes or help customers assemble the ingredients for a specific dish.
